Katolla elelee kaksi pesää, joista toinen on pienempi ja toisessa asutaan neljässä kerroksessa. Tuulenpuuskista huolimatta pesät olivat rauhallisia.

The queen has been laying steadily, and the colony continues to grow with strength and rhythm. The brood — the area where new bees develop — was solid and uniform, a sign of a healthy and well-functioning hive.

Katolla on hyvin rauhallinen pesä, jossa emo munii ja hiljalleen mehiläiset keräävät myös hunajaa. Sateisen päivän jälkeen pesässä oli paljon mehiläisiä.
